Mango

Mango, often called the “king of fruits,” is cherished for its sweet, juicy flavor and rich nutritional content, including vitamins A, C, and dietary fiber. It is cultivated from the Mangifera indica tree, which grows best in tropical and subtropical climates. Mango trees thrive in deep, well-drained loamy or sandy loam soils with a slightly acidic to neutral pH (around 5.5–7.5). They require warm temperatures between 24°C and 30°C for optimal flowering and fruiting, and they can tolerate dry conditions once established. Adequate sunlight is essential for healthy growth, while proper irrigation during flowering and fruit development improves yield and fruit quality. Mango trees are hardy but sensitive to waterlogging, frost, and strong winds. With proper care, pruning, and pest management, mango orchards can produce abundant, sweet, and flavorful fruits for many years.
